RERUNMAG

RERUNMAG is a magazine co-created with Tom Mpongo Beta as part of his final-year project at EIDM Paris. It was presented during the Fashion Mag Night, an event showcasing 32 Bachelor 2 projects focused on fashion and editorial design.

Our magazine was awarded first place ex æquo, a great recognition for a passionate project born from true collaboration.

Conceived as a sensory and creative immersion around the four elements (water, fire, earth, air), RERUNMAG explores the worlds of streetwear, urban music, and countercultures. More than just a printed object, it is a complete expression of our visual and narrative identities, spread across 100 pages.

With Axel in charge of art direction, editorial design, and layout, and Tom handling article writing, drawing from his personal influences and cultural background, we worked on this project throughout the entire academic year. Through visual experimentation, photo shoots, in-depth research, and creative testing, RERUNMAG gradually took shape as a true two-voice artistic journey.

A dedicated photo shoot further enriched the magazine’s art direction, visually embodying the developed themes. Special thanks to @avt.crw and @saethu for their sharp eye behind the lens.

At its core, RERUNMAG is a human, creative, and collaborative adventure, and a milestone project in my journey into editorial art direction.
